The Canton girls' basketball team picked up a 34-24 win over Cowanesque Valley to open the season in NTL action Wednesday.

Aislyn Williams had 12 points, six boards and four steals to lead Canton while Emmie Tymeson had six points. Molly Ward and Reagan Kelly netted five a piece while combining for 23 rebounds. Kelly grabbed 13 as Ward nabbed 10.

Courteney Weiskopff finished with four points while Carolyn Thoren scored two.

The Lady Warriors host NEB in a big divisional match-up at home on Thursday.
