Two locals make it to second round of District IV girls' tennis.

Two local girls' tennis players made it to the second round of the District IV girls' tennis tournament Saturday.

North Penn-Liberty's Savannah Alexyn and Jourdyn Buckheit both made it out of the first round.

Alexyn beat Muncy's Bella Rymsza 1-6, 7-5, 6-1 while Buckheit won over Jersey Shore's Rebecca Caputo 7-5, 6-1.

Alexyn then fell to Hughesville's Courtney McCowan 6-1, 6-0 while Buckheit lost to Muncy's Maggie Rymsza 6-1, 6-0.

Towanda's Hannah Innocenzo lost to Milton's Alaina Houtz 6-1, 6-3 in the opening round while Wellsboro's Raisa Rogers fell to Bloomsburg's Molly Williams 6-3, 6-1 in the opening round.

Reaching the semi-finals were Loyalsock's Pam Niditch, Hughsville's Rachel Thomas and Courtney McCowan and South Williamsport's Anya Plotnikova.
