Pietropola's buzzer beater lifts Wellsboro past South.

Michael Pietropola hit his second buzzer beater in a week as the Wellsboro Green Hornets beat South Williamsport 44-42 on Saturday.

South had a chance to try and win the game, but they missed on their attempt and Kieron Smethers got the rebound and found Pietropola who put up an off-balance shot over the South defense that banked in for the game winner.

Pietropola had 19 points and eight boards, with two assists, for Wellsboro and Dawson Prough had nine points.

Kieron Smethers had 10 boards, five points and three blocked shots, with two assists and Brandon Lamphier had seven points and three boards, with two assists.

Jake Mitchell had four points and three boards in the win.

Brock Jones led South with 19 points.

Jersey Shore 71, North Penn-Mansfield 61

The Tigers wrapped up the regular season with a non-league loss on Saturday.

Jersey Shore outscored Mansfield 13-8 in the opening quarter of the game.

Bo Burleigh led Mansfield with 15 points and Dayton Wood had 10 in the game.

Jarrod Burd, Levi Christman and Luke Kelly had eight each for the Tigers and Bryce Zaparzynski had seven points, while Brock Burleigh added three points and Shane Kelly had two points.

Wood had three boards, three assists and five steals and Bo Burleigh had seven boards.

Christman had four boards and two steals and Luke Kelly had four boards.

Brody Smith led Jersey Shore with 18.

Mansfield won the JV game 55-48 with Shane Kelly scoring 18 for Mansfield.
